You win some and you lose some in this crazy world of ultra endurance sports, and today's 50 mile Behind the Rocks Ultra event - put on by @madmoose.events - was fortunately the former.

Well this post is a little different... but in the grand scheme of life projects, this one feels up there with many of my athletic hobbies so I'm time-stamping it on my personal electronic scrapbook (ie Instagram) for safekeeping:

Welp, that's that. I felt like garbage in the last ten miles leading up to the first resupply at mile 100 of The Big Lonely and, after about ten minutes of trying to push on, realized it wasn't in the cards.
