Whaaaa?!!! Two back to back IG posts in one day? Yes, social media, it's necessary because when I'm 80 years old and look back on the photo album that is my IG profile, I want to remember all the ways my partner Trish has invested her time and energy into our relationship and, in this particular memory timestamp, my athletic pursuits. I'll admit it, I'm a bit of a dreamer sometimes, but Trish walks alongside my interminable 'next goal' mindset with a balance of pragmatism and encouragement.
I did it! My first 100 mile trail run is in the books. Of all 5 events in the Lead Challenge this summer, this race will easily go down as the most memorable experience of them all. I can see why this sport has a cult following: I'm already thinking about ways I could shave time and better prepare for future 100 mile runs.
Alright, the prep work is done and now all that's left to do is eat, sleep, and go for a run tomorrow morning.
Whew... The last two days have been a bit of a whirlwind but so fun and fulfilling as an athlete.
